Select your project

Bring one thing: a piece of work, a live performance, or a few slides on an idea. We want to hear about you, and keeping it to one project keeps it focused.

TipWork in progress is encouraged.

Nail your pitch

Three things, kept simple.

What is it?
Say it like you're telling a friend in a lift. Plain words, no jargon.
Why it matters to you?
The reason you're making it.
The ask
End by telling the room what you want. The more specific, the sharper the feedback. Or just say you're here to share, performing or simply showing your work is just as welcome.

Choose your format

Pick one. One clear format beats doing too much.

On the night

What to expect when you're up.

  • The host introduces you before your 5 minutes begins.
  • A timer runs, you get a signal at 1 minute left.
  • When you finish, the floor opens for Q&A.
  • Q&A is supportive, not critical. This is a community of peers.
  • You don't have to answer every question. "I haven't thought about that yet" is fine.
  • Keep the conversation going during the hangout after.
ReminderWork in progress is totally welcome. You're not here to have all the answers. You're here because you're making something and you want to make it better.
